Why couldn't I find the person I was looking for?
ContactRun is a "Voluntary" directory, meaning one has to choose to be on it by registering. The person you're looking for probably hasn't signed up . . .YET.

Should I list my contact information?
If you want friends and family who may not be up-to-date on your whereabouts to be able to get in touch with you, then yes.

Can't people's contact information be found elsewhere?
Phone books contain only traditional (land-line) numbers and are only for your local city; dialing 411 information usually charges a fee; and there is no national listings anywhere for cellular phones or e-mail addresses.

Why don't you offer more services like networking or the ability to post profiles and pictures.?
We feel that other websites are already doing that. In order to provide the best service, ContactRun focuses on one thing and one thing alone. Finding and listing people's contact information.

What if I want to maintain some privacy?
You can list an initial instead of your first name (ie. J. Doe) and/or not list a description.

Should I list my cell phone or land-line number?
List whatever number you want people to call you on. Many people nowadays only have cell phones, making that their primary number. But eitherway is fine.

Can I list my business?
Sure! Why not?

What if I want to list my e-mail but not my phone or vice versa?
Easy. When you register, you can choose to only list one or the other or both.

What if someone lists my number without my knowledge?
Simply email us with the name and number you want to have taken off and we'll take care of it.

Will telemarketers be able to exploit this?
You can list your number in the National Do-Not-Call Registry to keep telemarketers from calling you.

What if my number or e-mail address changes?
You can log-on with your password and change it.

Why do you ask for a description?
So that your friends can tell if it's you or someone else.

Can I list more contact info like addresses or website URLs in the description?
Your choice, as long as you read and agree to the Terms of Use.
